Sodium Bi Sulphite

Sodium Bisulphite is a white crystalline powder or yellowish solution with a pungent sulfur-like smell. Known for its strong reducing and antioxidant properties, it is widely used in water treatment, food preservation, textile dyeing, and chemical manufacturing. It reacts easily with chlorine and oxygen, making it effective in dechlorination and antioxidant applications. Though not flammable, it can release sulfur dioxide gas when heated or in acidic environments, so must be handled with proper ventilation and care.
